DESCRIPTION

The Gem and the Staff is designed for the Dungeons and Dragons Expert Set. It can easily be adapted for use with AD&D 1st or 2nd Edition.  John and Laurie Van De Graff authored this excellent adventure.  The Gem and the Staff was published in 1983.  This is a One-on-One adventure designed for a DM and an 8th level thief.  It includes rules for competition scoring and a pre-generated character for immediate use.  Scoring sheets and encounter summaries are provided for each adventure to make running competitions quick and easy.  Includes character figures and a map book detailing each room to help visualize the adventures.

SYNOPSIS

Your peaceful evening has been interrupted by an unusual request.  As a thief, your skills are unmatched, but can you rise to the challenge of thieving for a powerful and frightening wizard?  Do you have a choice?

The stakes are high and time is running out.  Can you steal the precious gem and magic staff?  Or will you face the wrath of a powerful and angry wizard?  Good luck in your thieving.  And remember.  Time is NOT on your side!

CONDITION

This module is in Good  condition.  The covers is in Good condition showing moderate whiting,  creasing along the fold, corner rounding and an ugly surface tear on the front upper left hand corner right next to some masking tape and scotch tape remains.  There is some discoloration from rust on the inside fold.   The character figures are still attached.  The adventure book is in  Good condition showing heavy wear including, corner rounding and edge wear.  The pages are grey with age and the staples are very rusty.  The illustration book also shows corner rounding, edge wear and staple rust.

This copy is also in Good condition.  The cover shows moderate whiting, worse at the edges, and moderate corner rounding, edge wear, and creases at the fold.  The adventure book is worn with a few smudges and the pages are grey with age.  The map book is also a bit smudged and grey.

This copy is in Very Good condition.  The cover shows light scuffing and moderate corner rounding and wear.  The inside has a few black marks here and there, is slightly grey with age and the corners and edges are a bit creased.  Very clean and nice.
