This accessory is designed for the Dungeons & Dragons game.  Although it can easily be adapted for AD&D First or Second Edition.  The Northern Reaches was published in 1987 and was the seventh of the Gazetteers printed.  This 64 page gazetteer contains a complete historical, economic and geographical overview of three Viking Nations.  Includes entries and maps of the major cities and towns,  a rules section for converting this accessory to AD&D 2nd Edition and it also has a collection of cut-outs to create a 3-D Viking Village.  Very cool indeed.
