DESCRIPTION

The Keep on the Borderlands module is designed for Dungeons & Dragons Basic Set. It is an introductory module written by Gary Gygax for a beginning D.M. and players. It includes many helpful features for a novice D.M. such as legends of the area, history and background information, pre-generated characters, and tips on how to be an effective D.M.  It also details a small keep and the nearby Caves of Chaos. It can be easily adapted for AD&D 1st or 2nd edition. This module was originally published in 1981.  It has been conjectured by Wizards of the Coast that no other module in TSR history has been adventured in by more people.  WotC/TSR reprinted this module in 1999 as part of their 25th Anniversary Celebration.
